Mario Paulo Canavarro



       Mario Paulo Canavarro began his stage career at age 13 at Eastern University in their production of Merrily We Role Along as Frank Jr., directed by Teresa Nevola Moyer, in 2002. In 2006 he was cast in his first high school musical in the supporting role of Tommy Keeler, in Delaware County Christian School’s production of Annie Get Your Gun, directed by Andrew Smalley. During his senior year in high school (Fall 2007) he took a part in a student directed and written one act production called Agendum, written and directed by Daniel Pennington. Later on he lead The Music Man as Harold Hill (spring 2008). 

       After graduating, Canavarro enrolled at Delaware County Community College as a Communication and Theatre major to attend acting classes. In Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, directed by Stephen Patrick Smith. He continued to fill roles at DCCC under Smith’s direction including: Yang Sun (The Good Woman Of Szechwan, 2009); Ariel (The Tempest, 2009); Lord Goring (An Ideal Husband, 2010); Edgar (King Lear, 2010). Intermittently, he took roles in a two student films, Dream, written and directed my Michael Marabella, and One Step, adapted and directed by Jacob Robert Blaise Verlinghieri. 
       Canavarro made his professional debut on stage with the Amaryllis Theatre Company as Misha in their production of Lydia, directed by Josette Todaro, in April 2011. He plans on continuing his education and career in in acting during the Spring semester of 2013 in L.A. California.
